You can manage articles that include Books, Magazines, Reports, CD/DVD’s and Notes. The system is designed to be extensible to add any other types of articles if the requirements arise. Librarian can extend the system to create their personal article type and use it. The system uses Bar Code system to uniquely identify each article in the library. Bar code can be generated from within the system. Users will be able to reserve articles from the KSMSe and follow its status through an online system. The system will send out a notification when the article is available back on the shelf so the user can issue it. The system enables the librarian to issue and manage returned articles. The articles status can also be managed by the librarian like missing, lost or damaged articles. Librarians can manage the users on the system. The librarians will issue an ID card with a bar code that will be used to uniquely identify each member of the library. The KUMe can be extended to manage the entire school.
